Dolphin escorts

Each year our crew sail to Melbourne along our gorgeous Australian East Coast. Along the way this year we had hundreds of dolphins along the way with a number of whale near Ulladulla. Sunsets were magical, weather varied and seas sensational. What a highly regarded adventure!

Sydney clouds

One of the best things about Sydney is its moderate weather. We enjoy the change of seasons the best as the clouds and sunsets are fantastic. Days are getting longer and warmer - what could be better for a sail?

Sydney dust storm

Sydney was transformed by a mysterious dust storm which felt like we had been enveloped by Martian fog! It was the oddest experience - luckily it passed in about half a day. The clean-up lasted for much longer... we’re still finding dust in compartments, sails and sheets (boat talk for ropes!) Thank goodness Sydney is (once again) and usually near perfect and fog free.

California dreaming

Julio, one of our regular sailors, joined us from San Francisco. He last sailed with us this past season in Malta so seeing Sydney’s more green and natural areas was quite a treat. We relish the word of mouth and referrals we get from our past guests. THANKS for your support!

Spring activity on Sydney Harbour

After what seemed like an eternity - Winter has left us and we are well into our favoured Springtime. Sydney Harbour is gorgeous anytime - yet sailing is actually best in late Winter (more wind and less crowded). Mid September offers some of the best sunsets and clouds along with cold evenings. What better way to enjoy them then after an afternoon sailing!

Yes, we cook fish!

After a six weeks sailing the Mediterranean for the 2009 “Summer” season, we returned with a vengeance! No, while we are yachtsmen - we still fish! While several were throw-backs... a large fish made it into our fish risotto following a splendid afternoon sailing, fishing, and most importantly - relaxing!

(If need be, we are able to sell fishing licences onboard YUNDA).

Whales off the Heads

Its always exciting being out past The Heads (the entrance to Sydney Harbour). During the months of June-August we regularly saw whales migrating along the Australian East coast. What a majestic sight... While still a bit Wintery - there are the odd warm and sunny days - best enjoy them from the water with friends!
